We have stayed at the Makkasan a number of times now and have always been happy with the service. However' i do think that serious attention has to be paid to the lack of safety around the window areas of the rooms at the front overlooking the road. We have never stayed at the rear of the hotel so' we can't comment on that. The noise from the traffic is also an issue(and we stayed on the 5th floor) but' i suppose the glass is not helping there either. Please do look into the safety side of the room ie: at least toughened glass' before someone has an accident. I'm in the building trade myself and i think at least some stud work (timber and plasterboard)walling 2ft or 3ft high in front of the windows would prevent an accident for the time being. The location of FX Hotel Makkasan, Bangkok is just perfect. The Airport Rail Link and MRT station are just nearby. The staffs are all nice and friendly, hotel room is simple and very clean. The price is nice. No need to worry about the food, there is a little restaurant just next to the hotel. Oh~ and the drinks are free in the lobby. We'll definitely stay at the Fx Hotel Makkasan again When next time we're in Bangkok.

This place is brand new, has good basic amenities, and a huge bed, with added convenience of an electric kettle and refrigerator.

We had a real good stay on my holiday.
Location: the hotel was really close to both airports and getting into town, indra market 5mins in taxi reach to market, and airport & Sukhumvit. There was an attached restaurant nearby.
